Ballavpurer Rupkatha
Listen O friends, a tale very serious -
No fun stuff, nor at all hideous.
Once, there lead a guy at Ballavpur,
A kind by title, not a pice in his store.
The surname was Roy, Bhupati his name,
Lead in a palace of a dilapidated frame.
His income was meagre, expenses huge,
Trapped in debt-the rounds went the news.
Of his life being made hell by all the creditors-
The Panwala, the decorator and the grocers.
"The palace will be sold, and the money I shall use",
He said, 'to repay each of you, believe, it's no ruse'.
Bhupati, his servant Manohar and Sanjib, his friend,
Together, three of them, hit upon a plan.
Sanjib, posing as the estate manager
Got a client at last, one Mr. Halder.
Halder and his family were up for the grab,
What interested them was low price tag.
Appeared Raghupati, a quater centenarian ghost,
Halder's daughter started admiring him most :
"O dear king, accept my love earnest,
That none but you can feel the best.
Came another customer, merchant Chowdhury,
Of whom Mr. Halder instantly become wary.
A clash was immenent, the plot thickened-
Please watch, and wait till the END.
